We are looking for an enthusiastic ortho assistant. This is a position for a minimum of 3 days per week, multiple days by mutual agreement. Preferably a completed (MBO) education as a dental assistant and/or experience with orthodontics or dentistry.
As an orthodontic assistant, you will assist the orthodontist at the chair and be involved in patient treatment. You will work closely with the rest of the team to provide the best orthodontic care to patients and encourage each other to continue to grow in the profession. The main duties in challenging position will be:
- taking plain photographs, x-rays and scans
- Preparation and possible placement of braces
- Adjusting to braces as directed by the responsible practitioner
- Placement of a retention splint
- Removal of fixed braces and adhesive residue
- information, explanations and brushing instructions during treatment
